Lifetime Warranty

 

What IS covered

 

Parts that fail during normal use e.g. screens that stop working or become unresponsive, charge port that stops charging the device, button that becomes unresponsive.

 

The lifetime warranty is for the lifetime of the device, it is transferable but proof of repair is required, i.e. Receipt or ticket number, and warranty sticker must be intact.

 

12 Month Warranty

 

What IS covered

 

Parts that fail during normal use e.g. screens that stop working or become unresponsive, charge port that stops charging the device, button that becomes unresponsive.

 

The 12 month warranty is transferable but proof of repair is required, i.e. Receipt or ticket number, and warranty sticker must be intact.


 

What IS NOT covered

 

Cracked or Smashed screens - Glass will crack if too much pressure is applied to it. If your device has a misshaped housing, dent  or bend, the glass screen may not fit as perfectly as the original. Our technicians carry tools to pull out dents and straighten bent housings, but while we make as much effort as possible to ensure they will not interfere with the replacement screen, it can never be perfect. If your screen lifts away from the frame you should inform us as soon as possible and we will advise you of any action to be taken. DO NOT try to press the screen or glass back into place.

 

Broken LCD - LCD and OLED displays (the part under the glass that displays the image) are fragile and our screens are protected with Gorilla Glass or equivalent on aftermarket, and Original replacements are factory specification. Sometimes the LCD or OLED can crack or become damaged through pressure or a drop, even though the outer glass has no sign of damage. If the LCD or OLED is damaged we cannot replace under warranty.

 

The screen protector will not stop the screen breaking - Glass or film screen protectors can protect your device from scratches and impact, but will not guarantee it will not break or crack. If your device takes impact on the frame it can crack the glass and leave your screen protector completely intact. We do not accept cracked glass under warranty, even if your screen protector is not broken. 

 

Liquid Damage - Liquid is not meant to get inside your device and will cause electrical damage and corrosion. When we repair your device we will let you know if we see evidence of liquid damage or ingress. If we have replaced a screen or part on a “waterproof” or “water resistant” device we will use a seal to endeavour to preserve this rating, however, we will not guarantee against any liquid damage once the original factory seal is broken.

 

Unrelated Faults - We will test the function of parts we replace on your device, however we cannot test the whole functionality of your device. We cannot offer refunds for repairs we carry out if other functions do not work that are not related to the repair we performed e.g. we change your screen but your camera no longer works after the original drop, but you decide that it is not economical to repair the camera. We cannot then refund the repair of the screen.

 

Parts, Batteries or Main board faults due to use of non approved charge cables - Use of charge cables not designed for your device can damage your battery and or your device e.g. non MFI (made for iPhone) approved cables, that do not adequately protect the charge circuit on your iPhone commonly cause the “tristar” or “hydra” integrated chip to fail. Spoiled batteries due to this problem cannot be replaced under warranty. Our technicians will test for this issue when we change a battery or troubleshoot a charging problem.

 

For 30 days from your repair we will honour legitimate warranty claims free of charge at the original repair location. 

 

After 30 days we will honour legitimate warranty claims free of charge at our Head Office location or for our current ‘Call Out Fee’ at the original repair location. 

 

Please note that we reserve the right to refuse warranty if our warranty sticker has been lifted or removed. 

 

If we arrive on site and your claim is not covered by warranty and you decide not to proceed with regular priced repairs our standard “Call Out Fee” applies.
